Education Outside the Classroom
Education outside the classroom, such as school camps and other visits, provide a variety of opportunities for learning, personal growth and social development, not possible within the classroom. Each year different outdoor education experiences are provided for all our students based on the school inquiry topic for the year.
In Year 0-2 day trips support curriculum learning and there is a focus on Discovery learning. For Year 3-4 students there is the option of a biannual overnight stay and a selection of other outdoor education opportunities run on a two year cycle. Students in Year 5-8 attend school camps and other activities to support classroom learning each year.
Parent support.
We welcome the support of parents to run activities outside the classroom.
Please note that police vetting is required for parent volunteer helpers who have unsupervised access to students such as parents at a school camp or coaching sports teams.
