Year 3/4 cross country is going to look a little different this year—we’re turning it into a Colour Run!
Event Details:
Date: Wednesday 3 September
Time: Tamariki will depart our classrooms at 2 pm for a 2:15 pm start
Location: Start and finish on the field. The best place for whānau to spectate is on the bank of the field.
What to Expect:
Students will move through colourful zones and be showered in vibrant, eco‑friendly colour powder as they complete the course. Our Colour Run is a fun and energetic event designed for all ages and fitness levels—perfect for making new memories while getting active!
We’d also like to reassure you and your child/children that the use of colour is completely by choice. On the day, there will be two clear pathways—one with colour and one without—so every student can choose the option they are most comfortable with. We will talk this through with the children at school so they understand their choices and feel confident about the event.
What to Bring:
Old clothes—preferably a plain white t-shirt (so the colours show up best)
Appropriate running shoes for cross country (closed-toe and comfortable)
A drink bottle to stay hydrated
A change of clothes and a towel for after the event
We can’t wait for a bright, active, and memorable afternoon together as we bring a fresh, colourful twist to our traditional cross country!
